Buying Assignment Pre-Sales

Times are tough for many, and they are having some element of challenge completing their property after waiting years.

Do you think it is worthy to pickup assignment pre-sales?

Perhaps at a reduced cost? If so, where would you buy these, Downtown, Richmond, Burnaby or New West.

Yes, look carefully, understand the builder/developer and his/her rules for assignments.

There usually is a fee between 1% and 5% to be paid. Who has to pay it?

You enter into a contract that is binding (you must complete). Check the developer’s approved process on assignments and forms to be signed.

See listings by Realtors and by owners at Kijiji.ca and Craigslist.com

(Go to real estate section and type in assignment(s)

Find what they originally sold for, what was the height achieved in price. What is your discount…?

Make lots of offers AFTER your research… Walk, if it is not substantial.

MUST do: Get your lawyer to red the assignment contract.
